Greensburg Envisioned: Concepts from K-State Design Students
This exhibit is the display of KSU College of Architecture Planning & Design Proposals for Greensburg. The work will include design concepts for The Educational Campus, The Lake, Fairgrounds and Rodeo, The Business Incubator, Two Different proposals for Sustainable Resource Center, Park & Memorial Located near Wisconsin/Main/Iowa/Sycamore Streets, The Downtown Design Guidelines, A proposal for Maintaining the Location of Highway 54 for economic viability of Downtown, The Big Well Tourism Center and Entry Plaza/Parking, A Downtown Media Center, Greensburg Green Guidelines, and An Alternate Master Plan for Greensburg: "The Sustainable Icon."
The projects will be available for public viewing Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm December 11-January 10 at the Delmar Riney Gallery of Art at Pratt Community College (30 miles from Greensburg). There will be an opening reception at the Gallery on Friday Dec. 14 from 5:30-6:30pm.* In addition, the students will provide a booklet of their work to be placed on the http://www.greensburgks.org/ website in PDF form. This will be available in mid-December 2007. The costs associated with disseminating this work to the public has been funded by the KSU Center for Engagement and Community Development.
