GEORGE JONES to Perform a Benefit Concert in Greensburg

Country music super star and legend George Jones will be performing live in concert
May 1st, 2010 on the grounds of the Paul Windle Municipal Airport in Greensburg, KS. “May Music Mania” - the official event name - is being organized and conducted by the newly formed Spirit of Greensburg Committee. The committee is a non-profit organization designed to create and host special events that will generate funding as well as increase public awareness for rebuilding structures destroyed by the infamous tornado that unleashed its fury on Greensburg May 4th, 2007.

This year’s focus is directed towards raising funds to begin rebuilding the local performing arts center, “The Twilight Theatre.” The Greensburg Public Schools generously donated a portion of the property on which the theatre will be constructed at its new location, the intersection of Florida and Main.
The New Twilight Theatre will serve as the auditorium for the students of Greensburg Public Schools and as an entertainment facility to be enjoyed by Greensburg and surrounding communities. All proceeds generated through advertising/sponsorship packages, ticket sales, beverage & merchandise sales, donations, etc. will be donated directly to The Twilight Theatre after all event expenses have been paid.

To participate in “May Music Mania” featuring George Jones by advertising your business through the widely publicized event, making a donation, or to purchase discounted group tickets before they go on sale please call (580) 273 - 8044 for more information.

Advance tickets go on sale April 1st at 8am and will cease April 30th at 8pm. Tickets
will be $23 in advance and $25 at the gate (all ages.)
