We're Collecting Your Stories About Greensburg
First, we appreciate your time in responding to the survey and we are asking for your assistance one more time. We are seeking current and former residents’ knowledge and stories as the conceptual design phase of the museum is being developed. Gathering all the information now for the museum’s content is not only necessary, it’s vital. Your anecdotes and items will bring even more tourism and make Greensburg’s heritage - past, present, and future - come alive to all who experience the Big Well Museum.
We will be in Greensburg on January 14th (starting at 9 am) and January 15th (until 3 pm) to hear your stories about the Big Well, the tornado, and the rebuilding of Greensburg. We also want to provide an opportunity for you to bring potential artifacts for the Museum – early pictures or special times at the Big Well and tornado images or interesting artifacts. We haven’t established a place yet but will provide you all the particulars if you would let us know an approximate time when you could stop by. You can respond by calling or emailing us.
If you know of others who could join us, please forward this on to them.
Thanks and look forward to visiting with you.
